Adapter Vendors Will Be the Preferred Source for Adapters

This could be one of the most controversial trends presented in this chapter. Some of the package vendors do provide adapters today. For example, SAP will soon provide its own version of JCA-compliant resource adapters. Although a handful of package vendors continue to have a similar strategy, most of the other package vendors will prefer not to.
