Adapter Customization Domains

It is very hard to predict when and what sort of customization may be needed of any adapter. There are almost infinite business patterns, each slightly different from the each other but requiring varying degrees of customization. There are, however, some very common areas or domains of an adapter that appear frequently during adapter customization projects. The four major adapter customization domains include the following:

• Administration interfaces

• Environment settings

• Host interface

• Persistence management
