Deployment Scenarios

There are many different deployment scenarios that can exist in a production environment. These scenarios can be specific to the environment, but some basic deployment scenarios can be identified. You can think of these scenarios as deployment patterns that are useful for understanding the deployment requirements and the definition of the deployment descriptor. Figure 12.1 captures the basic deployment scenarios for resource adapters. These scenarios can be extended to include specific run-time environments and other attributes of the distributed computing environment.
