Objectives of JCA Specifications

The objective of JCA is quite simply to enable J2EE applications to integrate with legacy applications and other emerging technologies known in JCA terms as Enterprise Information Systems (EIS). From a J2EE application's perspective, an EIS manages information resources either in the form of databases or real-time information.
