XML Transactioning API for Java (JAXTX)
In the current J2EE environment, business transactions between organizations are carried over IIOP protocol. The use of IIOP makes the organizations very tightly coupled and unusable over the Web. The growing popularity of Web services makes it necessary to have a way in which transaction information can be exchanged between organizations using SOAP standards. JAXTX is an effort to define a set of APIs that will enable the application to do such business transactions.
