SAX provides a number of interfaces and classes with which you can build complex XML-enabled applications. This chapter covers the more advanced uses of SAX, such as working with the document locators, processing lexical information, customizing the external entity resolution process, and the handling of namespaces. You will also learn how to generate SAX events on a standard text file.
