This book is about building distributed and collaborative applications with the JavaSpaces technology. As with any programming methodology, a number of general principles and patterns have emerged from the use of spaces, and we will spend the bulk of this book covering them. Our aim is to help you explore new ways of thinking about, designing, and building distributed applications with spaces (and in short order so that you can quickly begin to create your own distributed applications).
