Comparisons with YAML

YAML is another software language-agnostic data interchange format that is slowly gaining popularity. YAML is a recursive acronym for YAML Ain't Markup Language, and is commonly used to store metadata such as configurations, schemas, and properties. YAML is considered a human-readable data serialization standard and depends on white spaces, positioning, and simple characters for line terminators, similar to popular scripting languages such as Ruby and Python.
