Summary
In this chapter, you wrote an invisible runtime bean, the Timer bean. You learned how to use Java's time and date classes and methods while you developed clocks and timers leading up to the final Timer bean. You also learned that you can write a bean that's invisible during runtime simply by leaving out any graphical user interface code and by not creating your bean from an AWT class.
