Invisible JavaBeans Components

You can create JavaBeans components that are invisible to the application user. However, you should be able to use all beans effectively in a visual application builder environment. Therefore, beans that are invisible at runtime, while the application user is using the bean, must be represented visually during design time while the application designer is building the application.

Note

Visual application builders mostly take care of the design-time representation of invisible beans. You can, however, customize a bean's designtime look. Learn how in Chapter 25, "Customization."
