Testing Wireless Applications

For testing our wireless applications, we will use a WML emulator from Nokia, the Nokia WAP Toolkit 1.2. The toolkit simulates a generic WAP mobile phone as well as content encoders that would otherwise be performed by a WAP gateway. This toolkit is included in the companion CD, so you can get started with wireless application development without having to scour the Web for one.

Figure 11.2 shows the Nokia WAP emulator when it starts up. The left window displays the source of the WML document and a location field to enter the deck's URL, and the right window displays the output in the mock mobile terminal.
