To prepare the environment of your pipeline, you will need:
- Sonatype Nexus: This is a binary repository. In other words, when you build your artifact, it will be stored in Nexus and be ready to be deployed wherever you need/want.
- Jenkins: I used to say that Jenkins is an automator for everything. Actually I've worked in a project where we used it to build an automated pipeline (continuous delivery) for about 70 applications, with completely different technologies (languages, databases, operation systems, and so on). You will use it basically for building and deploying.
