The Java EE specification includes the JAX-WS API as one of its technologies. JAX-WS is the standard way to develop Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services on the Java platform. It stands for Java API for XML Web Services. JAX-WS is a high-level API; invoking web services via JAX-WS is done via remote procedure calls. JAX-WS is a very natural API for Java developers.
