In computer science, we have a number of laws, the most famous of which is, perhaps, Moore's Law, which addresses the rate at which the computer processing power increases. Another law, although not as well known, and certainly not as serious, is one known as Zawinski's Law. Jamie Zawinski, best known for his role at Netscape and Mozilla, once noted that "Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can." While Zawinski's Law hasn't been quite as accurate as Moore's Law, there does seem to be a ring of truth to it, doesn't there?
