This glossary defines terms according to their usage in the context of the Java™ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE platform). Many of the terms have more general usage. For example: the term handle has general currency in modern programming languages, but here is defined in terms of its use in Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB™) technology.
- access control

- ACID
