Mixed Deployments
Mixed deployments are the most complex WebLogic Server configurations. These are deployments that serve both application clients and Web clients. Care must be taken to ensure security and scalability of the deployment.
Simple Mixed Deployment Architectures
The simple mixed deployment architecture consists of WebLogic Server existing inside of the corporate firewall. External clients typically access WebLogic Server via the Web interfaces across the Internet or another network. Application clients typically exist on the corporate intranet to access WebLogic Server services. Figure 13-13 shows the simple mixed deployment architecture.
