Conclusion

EJBs are server-side Java components that leverage the standard transaction, persistence, concurrency, and security services provided by the EJB container. This chapter described session beans, which represent conversations with clients. In the next chapter, we discuss entity beans. Chapter 10 completes the coverage of EJBs with a discussion of message-driven EJBs.
