17.3. Publishing Web Services

There are various levels of complexity we can tackle when publishing our Web Service. At the simplest end, we may have a service that we just want to use inside our own organization, or perhaps between business partners that we have already identified and have business relationships with. In this case, we might not even need a registry at all; we can just email someone our WSDL document (or for that matter, ignore the WSDL altogether and mail them the client software). At the opposite end of the spectrum, we can imagine needing a service, but having no idea what companies might offer the service, so we would need an ability to search a registry based only on descriptive information about the service desired.
