17.2. Standardized Web Services

We expect that our Web Service is unique, and there aren't any standards from which we can take guidance about how to develop our interfaces and implementation. If you are trying to implement a fairly standard business procedure like purchasing, however, it would be beneficial to see what other purchasing Web Services look like. Over time, standards should emerge that make it possible to have a universal client for common functions such as purchasing, rather than have to create a specialized client for each vendor.
