9.1. XML Acronyms FYI: An XML Glossary with References

Every area of information technology is replete with its set of acronyms, but perhaps in no other area has it been carried to the ridiculous extremes seen in the arena of XML processing. Before we can get into any serious discussion of XML, you'll need to consult the secret decoder ring, which has been transformed into a printed glossary for your convenience.
