You have almost finished reading It's Okay to Manage Your Boss. You are ready—even eager—to start building more highly engaged relationships with each and every boss. You have set up one-on-one meetings with each boss, just like the book says. In fact, you have a meeting this morning, and you are ready, with a notebook under your arm.

Your new approach takes your boss a little by surprise. But she says to herself, "He's been walking around with that book all week. He's obviously trying something new. I wonder if he'll be able to stick with it. Or will this new thing just blow over?"
