Do It Again

At the airport in Bogotá, Columbia, I saw a kid washing the windows of the terminal. This is a subject I’ve shot again and again, but this time it was against a setting sun in the background. Only thing is, just as I started shooting, he was finished.

As he walked away, I did something I don’t usually do. I walked up to him and said, “Those windows are still dirty.” I handed him a few dollars and said, “You better do them again.”

He smiled and did them again. I smiled and photographed him and the windows a second time.

Everybody’s happy.
