Aries Usability

The vision of the usability aspect was not only to eliminate the need for user interaction, but also to limit or remove developer or system administrator interaction. Installation would not be needed, additional disk space would not be needed—Aries would be completely system transparent, almost a ghost on the machine.

Since Aries is built into the current versions of HP's flavor of UNIX (HP-UX), the operating system automatically detects PA-RISC applications. Once applications are detected, Aries directs them to run under the control of the Aries system. Again, this is done with complete transparency.
