Aries Reliability

Given the nature of today's IT world —moving ever closer to total integration within a business or scientific endeavor—reliability is a paramount concern. In part this is because many companies are so dependent on their IT infrastructure that they have few options if their applications stop working. In a way, this is similar to what users have come to expect from their hardware—that except for the rare glitch, the system should always be up and running. In that sense, Aries could be considered a kind of virtual microprocessor. It is a software-based solution, but hardware microprocessor verification technologies were used in testing Aries to its limits.
