INTRODUCTION

Sitting any sort of test or exam is stressful, but candidates should remember that a foundation level exam is usually testing their basic understanding of the subject and terminology. For many it is a stepping-stone to more advanced training and qualifications and is therefore designed to be passable by the vast majority of candidates.

There are a number of techniques and hints to keep in mind when sitting a foundation level exam. Using these techniques and hints should enable candidates to maximise their scores. There is, of course, no substitute for a having a good knowledge of the topics included in the syllabus.
