Enterprise Services

We like referring to the infrastructure group as Enterprise Services. It has a nice ring to it for the twenty-first century. The organization chart in Figure 9-1 represents the infrastructure support and development organization of the future.

We included first-, second-, and third-level support roles for each of the areas. We highlight this in the organization chart in Figure 9-1 because it's one of the most critical of the functions that were abandoned as we transitioned to client/server, and it happens to be one of the biggest reasons RAS for client/server doesn't exist.
