10BASE-T

A signal capable of transmitting at 10 Mbps over unshielded twisted-pair cable by using baseband signaling in a star topology. It is the IEEE 802.3 standard for unshielded twisted-pair Ethernet.

100BASE-T

A standard used for Ethernet over twisted-pair cabling. The 100 is the speed in Mbps, Base is for Baseband transmission, and the T denotes twisted-pair cabling.

Access Control Entry (ACE)

List of permissions a specific user or group has to a specific resource.

Access Control List (ACL)

List of users with permissions to a specific resource.

A set of credentials that represent you on the network and that contain information about who a user is and what groups they are in.
