Individual Contributor Roles/Purposes
Now that we've taken a look at the roles, purpose, and mission of the leaders in the Enterprise (data center) Services group, I offer the following purpose statements to provide a definition for the individual contributors that support them:
Computer Operator— Oversees established technical processes for enterprise-sized servers and peripherals to provide watchdog monitor and response service to mission-critical systems.
Systems Programmer— Evaluates, tests, and deploys system management tools to all server platforms to provide insertion and optimization of technology and process that make up computer operations.
