The notify cog

All cog implementations that we've considered, thus far, have rendered output to the web page. Let's consider the implementation of a cog that doesn't render any output to the web page. The notify cog that we are going to implement, will utilize the Alertify JavaScript library to display animated notification messages on the web page.

Figure 9.13 is an illustration depicting a notification message that appears on the bottom-right corner of the web page, when the user adds an item to the shopping cart:
