Conventions Used in This Book

I use the following font conventions in this book:

Italic for commands, directory paths, filenames, and URLs.
Boldface for names of GUI items such as window names, buttons, and menu choices.
Constant Width for names and keywords in Java programs, including method names, variable names, and class names; IP and MAC addresses; and XML element tags.
Constant width italic for replaceable text.
Constant width bold for text that users should input.
