Make an iTunes Wish List

With no paper money flying about to remind you of reality, it's easy to rack up hefty credit card charges. Consider, then, making an iTunes wish list to help keep track of songs you want to buy... when your budget is ready.

Making an iTunes wish list is basically just like making any ol' playlist, except you populate it with 30-second song previews from the iTunes Store—complete with their Buy Song buttons that take you right back to the Store once you're ready to shop again.

❶ Make a new playlist in iTunes (File→New Playlist)—"Wish List" is a good name.

❷ In the iTunes Source list, click the Store icon.

❸ Shop around the store and drag songs into the new playlist.

Tip

Tired of scrolling down to the bottom of iTunes to get to your wish list? (That often happens when you've loaded iTunes with playlists, which get listed alphabetically.) Slap an "@" sign at the beginning of the playlist name— @Wish List—and your list pops to the top of the Playlist area.
