Apple's loaded the iTunes Store with plenty of unique, ear-inspiring special collections—all designed to separate you from your money. Just click the Music link on the Store's main page and head to the box titled "More in Music":

  • Best of the Store. New music arrives on the virtual shelves regularly and the Store staff captures the zeitgeist with this weekly playlist of fresh hot tracks.

  • iTunes Essentials. Looking for a quick course in, say, the works of Johnny Cash or Jock Rock? Usually filled to three levels, starting with well-known works and progressing to more obscure tracks, these playlists are great fun.

  • Celebrity Playlists. See what the stars are playing on their iPods. Hundreds of actors and musicians share their personally annotated playlists—for better and for worse.

  • Nike Sport Music. Designed for active folks who use the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, these playlists are intended to pep up your workout with a mix of hip-hop, pop, and other high-energy tracks.

  • My iTunes. Blogs and social networking sites like Facebook give you a place on the Web to call your very own.
