Chapter 9. Manage Your iTunes Library

Whether you have 100 files in your iTunes library or 10,000, you will likely want to find some way to manage all of this content.

One approach is to divide your files into multiple libraries. For example, you might establish a separate library for songs downloaded by another person to prevent those songs from playing in your library. This is useful if you have iTunes set to shuffle content or if you do not want those songs to appear on your iPod when you sync it with iTunes. If you like, you can set up iTunes to share your various libraries with others — as well as allow others to share with you.
