From iPhoto to Photoshop

A photo in your iPhoto library needs some help. How do you open it in Photoshop? You have a few options.

Drag and drop. If you’ve already started Photoshop, its icon appears in your dock. To open a photo, simply click the photo in your iPhoto library and drag it to the Photoshop icon in the dock. When the icon highlights, release the mouse button, and Photoshop opens the photo directly from your iPhoto library. This drag-and-drop technique is handy if you use Photoshop only occasionally.

Important: Don’t use this technique to try to open a raw file; you’ll end up opening the JPEG stand-in in Photoshop instead. Use the techniques below to send raw images to Photoshop.
