Exploring with the Map

Here’s how to explore photos using iPhoto’s built-in Google map.

Places in the Information Pane

The Information pane—that appears when you select an event and click Info—provides a few location-related niceties.

The map in the pane shows marker pins for each geotagged photo in that event. But here’s a detail you may not have noticed: skim over the event’s thumbnails at the top of the Information pane, and the marker pin for the currently visible thumbnail highlights in green. It’s fun to watch the pins light up as you skim through the thumbnails.
