Adding a New Place
iPhoto knows about a lot of places, but it doesn’t know about every place. New Hampshire’s beautiful Mount Monadnock isn’t in its database. Nor is PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Nor is your back yard.
Now, you could simply place that mountain photo in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Or that Pirates photo in Pittsburgh. Or those back-yard barbecue shots in Your Town, USA.
But you can also be specific and add the place to iPhoto’s database. Adding a place takes just a few steps, and if you enjoy playing with Google maps as much as I do, you’ll find it fun. But most important, you’ll place your photos with precision.
Step 1. Select an event or one or more photos, then click the Info button to display the Information pane.
