Places at a Glance
You and your camera, you go places. When you return home, you tell iPhoto where you’ve been.
That’s the idea behind iPhoto’s Places feature, which lets you associate geographical locations with your photos—and then explore your library using maps and more.
Some digital cameras include or accept optional Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers that record your location as you shoot, a process called geotagging. Apple’s iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S can also go along for the ride, thanks to their built-in GPS and camera, as can the iPad 2 and iPod touch (4th generation or later).
