MIDI Interfaces

MIDI interfacing for controlling notes, patch changes and other parameters is still commonly found on musical instruments, and the serial communications protocol used by MIDI is readily handled by the iPad.

The Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer was the first MIDI interface for the iPad to hit the market and is currently on Version II ($70) which supports Core MIDI (any old Model 1 units still available should be avoided). MIDI Mobilizer II remains an obvious choice for anyone who wants to add MIDI to an iPad.
