If you purchased a brand-new iPhone or iPad (after September 2013), iOS 7 comes preinstalled; otherwise, you’ll need to upgrade your iOS mobile device from iOS 6 to iOS 7 to take full advantage of the latest features and functionality that your iPhone or iPad is capable of and that you’ve been reading about in this book.
