In this chapter, I cover two included applications on your iPad that help you view videos. The Videos app is a player with which you can watch downloaded movies, TV shows, or media you’ve synced from iCloud or your Mac or PC. The YouTube app takes you online to the popular video-sharing site. As you probably know, videos here range from professional music videos to clips from news or entertainment shows and personal videos of cats dancing and other news-making events as they happen. If you like to view things on a bigger screen, you can use iPad’s AirPlay technology and Apple TV, a device that will cost you $99, to send your iPad movies and photos to your TV; the Apple Digital AV Adapter or component and composite connectors, $39 accessories.
