B.10. Technical Work Groups

The SNIA technical work groups have been instrumental in formulating requirements for technology standards that may then be forwarded to the appropriate standards body for further work. Additional detail on the activity of each technical work group may be found on the SNIA Web site. SNIA work groups have produced open source code for the Common Information Model Object Model and the HBA application programming interface, both of which are available via the SNIA site. Technical work groups support a diversity of interests, from management and backup to security issues.
