B.1. Board of Directors

As shown in the organizational chart in Figure B-1, the governing body of the SNIA is the board of directors. Board members are elected by the membership for two-year terms, and an individual board member may serve two consecutive terms. The ten elected board members are supplemented by three at-large board members appointed by the board itself. The board is responsi ble for establishing policies and managing resources of the organization to fulfill SNIA's mission and provides oversight to the SNIA committees, industry forums, Technical Council, Consumer Council, the Technical Director, and the SNIA Technology Center.
