EXAMPLES OF NHRP OPERATIONS
In Figure D-1, the source IP node is sending packets to the destination IP node. The packets are traversing routers 1, 2, and 3 to reach the destination. This example assumes ATM is operating in this network, and the connections between these switches are ATM links.

In Figure D-2 a server residing in Network 1 is responsible for the support of the client's users ability to reach destination nodes. The sources and sinks of the traffic are IP nodes, using conventional IP addresses.
