IGRP Routing Metrics (Variables) and Cisco Administrative Distances

This section covers two of the five possible variables of IGRP (Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) routing metrics— bandwidth and delay. It explains why only two are used and why it is usually best to accept the defaults for these two variables based on the type of link in use and its speed. It also discusses the concept of administrative distances.
