Chapter 5. Connectivity and Transport

The objective of this chapter is to provide options and guidance on the use of IP connectivity in both the Radio Access Network (RAN) and the core network (CN). First, a review is conducted on the various transport modes and their relevance in the architecture. Requirements are examined to address the feasibility of making the transition to IP connectivity for both environments.
