Using the Image Picker

It is very common for apps to make use of images provided by the user. To allow an app access to the user’s photos in the camera roll and photo albums, iOS provides two approaches: the UIImagePickerController and the asset library. The UIImagePickerController provides a modal user interface to navigate through the user’s albums and photos, so it is appropriate to use when Apple’s provided styling works for the app and there are no special requirements for photo browsing and selection.
