People tend to carry location-aware mobile devices wherever they go, and they store tons of personal data on these devices, making privacy a constant concern in mobile security. Modern iOS devices allow applications (upon request) to read people’s location data, use the microphone, read contacts, access the M7 motion processor, and much more. Using these APIs responsibly not only is important to users but also can help reduce liability and increase the chances of the application being gracefully accepted into the App Store.
