I know that both Chris and I earlier thanked Eric Knapp for tech reviewing the book, but I want to give a more comprehensive shout-out to my first programming teacher. When I was starting out in school for programming Eric was my first teacher, and he was the only one I had who really cared about whether or not I understood the material. His patience in explaining the fundamentals as many times as I needed and never making me feel stupid really helped me get over the initial hump in learning programming. He is also responsible for getting me to my first CocoaConf and connecting me to a lot of the people who made a difference in my life. Thanks a lot, man; keep doing what you do!
