Concluding Thoughts

We reviewed three fascinating companies, Statoil, Petrobras, and Ecopetrol that are held to public-company standards yet are still majority owned by their governments. Within the context of their ownership structure, they are able to grow, raise funds, and have a level of transparency not often found with state-owned companies. We believe all three companies offer appealing opportunities to investors.
