Oil-producing nations each have their own set of laws and regulatory frameworks by which other nations and private companies may participate. Some countries, such as Brazil and Norway, are very progressive in their energy models. Others, such as Venezuela, are considerably more restrictive. Below, we will review some differences and similarities across business models and energy frameworks.
